Fellowship and Coffee Hour

Whether you’re a social butterfly or a wallflower, enjoy a hearty welcome at our Fellowship and Coffee Hour. Every Sunday after worship join us for coffee, cookies and friendly chatter in Yeoman Hall (downstairs in the sanctuary building).

Fourth Sunday Luncheon

Who was that talented baritone sitting two pews behind you? Find out at the friendly fellowship luncheon after the 10:15 service on the fourth Sunday of each month. The September meal will feature a presentation on our youth’s recent mission trip.

Wit & Wisdom

If you are ‘50+’, join us for a potluck and short program. This joint venture includes several Lockport churches. It meets the fourth Wednesday of the month, 12:30 pm and rotates between our church, the First Congregational UCC, and Shepherd of the Hill Lutheran Church. Check our weekly “Yellow Pages” or church calendar for this months location.

Women's Groups

United Methodist Women

Members of this active group discover the joy of serving Jesus by serving others. United Methodist Women (UMW) support missions that specifically help women and children. This groups sponsors a semi-annual “Gently Used Clothing” sale and Blankets and Tools Sunday. Bykota, Rachel, and Sarah Circles are extensions of the UMW. Dartball Team

What is a dartball you ask? You start with a large board with a baseball diamond printed on it. You throw darts to score runs. Want to know more? Visit www.dartball.com. 1st  UMC’s team plays against other church teams on Monday evenings in Yeoman Hall. Dartball season usually runs from September through May.

Bible Studies

A variety of studies are offered throughout the year. This fall, Pastor Noah will be conducting a study using Companions in Christ. More information will be available soon

Fellowship

Book Club

The book club chooses a book to discuss each month when they meet on the fourth Thursday at 7:00 pm in Dyrstrup Study. Book titles are published 2-3 months ahead of time.

Quilters In Mission

This group of quilters meets between September and May in the home of one of the members. Quilts are worked on during that time and then given for various mission purposes.
