Serving at Daybreak

July 15 First United Methodist will be serving breakfast at Daybreak. We start cooking at the center at 5am, serve at 6am, stop serving at 7am, and are cleaned up and on our way before 7:30am. Some folks head off to work, others back home to send kids off to school or enjoy their day. Usually a few people car pool. Sound like something you’d be interested in supporting? Here are some ways that you can help:

• Donate food. We need gallons of milk, apple, orange or grape juice, granola bars, yogurt, pancake mix, regular and sugar-free pancake syrup, bacon and breakfast sausage, fresh fruit (not bananas or apples). Check with the Pattie Piotrowski about perishables or what is needed for July.

• Donate money. Servers can purchase what is not donated. Simply place your donation in the collection plate in an envelope labeled Daybreak.

• Donate your time. We need one person to turn pancakes, one to grill up sausages and the other 2-3 people setup, restock and wipe up. Check with Pattie if you’re interested.
